Quick report
With the current wind slab potential, we dug many hand pits when traveling up the Southback area to Boundary Basin. Snow was settled, with a thin wind crust on top of unconsolidated light snow. Hand tests did not result in a clean shear, some blocks would occasionally stay together but most fell apart easily. There was a warmup around 1 pm, with the sun coming out and some light precip that was closer to rain than snow. This made the snow feel denser, and the ensuing risk of slabbing was our sign to head out for the day. Skied Boundary Bowl, FF Forest, Chicken Head and the Party Knoll Trees.
Avalanche
Saw some debris on the way to Boundary Bowl in the very top section, looked like multiple D1 wind slabs that had broken sometime in the last couple of days.
