Quick report
Many areas and zones were wind scoured and snow riding surfaces were firmer until you got into N and NE facing trees and quality became better. No signs of instabilities were witnessed while riding and snow depth in the trees located above the Border Ruffian zone was beyond a 320cm probe. The weather was sunny with scattered clouds and remained windy the entire time we rode.
Avalanche
We snowmobiled the Border Ruffian zone at Blue Lakes and saw a substantial cornice fall along the ridge that is SE of the Nipple. This cornice fall was likely due to the gale force SW wind loading for our most recent storm from this past weekend. @~8600 ft Another crown, likely wind slab, was noticed on the East aspect of the Nipple. @~8800 ft
