Quick report
We toured up and over tamarack peak, descending broken glass bowl towards mt. Houghton. Ascending the south face we saw plenty of signs of wind transport but no signs of instability. From the summit we looked into the north chute and considered the snowpack of the terrain. We decided to descend the line and found firm, wind affected snow that showed no signs of instability. Ascending out of the north bowl, we descended via the south face and skied a steep rocky section just above the meadow. There were some shallow and isolated wind instabilities observed here but the steepest sections only produced small sluffs.
