Two snowmobilers in the group. As we entered the Alpine we saw a size 2 slab avalanche across a large gully from us on a 60% N/NE facing slope that looked to be a day or two old. We also identified heavy windloading on most N/NE slopes. With the new storm snow, heavy windloading and complex snowpack we chose to avoid all N/NE slopes. This made for a fun day of line selection without affecting our level of riding.
