Quick report
- Cracking
- isolated
Snow conditions were variable depending on wind affect. Sheltered areas hosted untouched cold powder, and wind blown areas were scoured, hard, and even icy. Ski cut tests showed a 1.5-2 foot slab under wind affected snow (S aspect). Cracks formed but didnt propagate. We only found this reactive when unsupported. Convex rollovers continue to be unstable, but manageable through terrain choices.
Avalanche
Small natural avalanches occurred on S / SW slopes where the snow was warmed by the sun, especially near rocks. Notably we observed slabs in addition to typical point release (see photo)
