Quick report
A hot day with wet snow in the upper snowpack. Peak avalanche activity was the previous day, but there's a few mainly small slides still coming down. Snowpack remains supportable on sled and foot- although I was never on steep, south-facing slopes.
I did not witness any new avalanches, although a few did occur today. No other signs of instability seen.Weather

Hot and sunny. Light-mod downslope breeze at upper elevations.
Snowpack
Wet surface snow everywhere I traveled. In most low-angle, yet southerly, the top foot or so of snow was wet.
A light to moderate breeze at upper elevations may have slightly helped keep surfaces a little cooler.
Avalanche
Several D1-D2 avalanches observed in the greater area. Predominantly wet loose. Most occcurred the day before during peak instability. One sledder triggered D1 soft slab avalanche was noted on an east-facing wind loaded slope at 6200'. Unsure of failure plane. One distant east facing slab avalanche was seen at 4900', unknown failure plane, moisture content and timing.
