Quick report

We observed overall stable conditions on Saturday. There was some amount of warming starting at about 1 p.m. which caused not so fun skin gloppage . The ~4 inches of snow from this week was not well bonded to the crust until about 6200’. Winds picked up on Sunday and were forming fresh slabs in the alpine. Though we didn’t find much reactivity, we turned around before that could change.

Avalanche

Observed a somewhat recent crown and debris beneath the triple Couloirs on Dragontail peak. I would guess it released sometime Thursday or Friday but it’s hard to say. By Sunday morning spindrift from above had all but filled in the crown.
