Quick report
- Cracking
- isolated
- Collapsing
- widespread
We observed whoomphing on several aspects above 5100'. Shooting cracks were more isolated to west slopes where wind loading had occurred. About 15 - 20" of new snow on top of a noticeable crust on all aspects. 100cm deep around the lake and about 30cm near the Tomihoi TH. Overall the new snow was cold ( -5C) and light. It was easy to get the new snow to move on the crust with ski cutting and hand shear tests. We kept to an assessment mindset due to the new storm snow. Talking with other parties - the stability did not seem great enough to step out into steep or exposed terrain
