Quick report
Dug a pit on the southern edge of Judah just below the ridge in E facing terrain at 8200ft .new snow was dense and well bonded. There was a thin rain crust about 3in down from the top Snow was finger hard all the way down. There was a weak layer above old crust/facet layers which is now pencil hard. I actually had to chip away with shovel at this 4in layer to get the ground. There is still a tin layer of dry facets right at the ground. Also dug into the snow on Lincoln east ridge with similar snow pack structure. .snow became punchy and wet below 7500ft.. visibility was poor in the morning so I wasn’t able to see across bigger slopes. I did see quite a bit of roller balls and wet/looses slough on steeper slopes that had bigger rock features on them.
