Stable, but very variable conditioned and often low tide snow (will upload some pics demonstrating). Afternoon ski tour up a standard skin track from High Meadow TH. Higher up in shade had enough skin traction issues on slick skin track that I almost broke out ski crampons . At one point I took off a ski to resolve an issue and seemingly well compacted skin track easily gave way to boot pressure. On descent down the steep NE trees, quality was mostly better up high (though always a bit heavy), but still varied with shading/sheltering features, especially the lower I got when it fluctuated between smooth and crusty constantly. Didn’t notice any signs of instability, though I made no turns on sunny slopes.
