Quick report
Dug on a northerly slope above the Mt. Rose Summit Campground, near the Mt. Rose Ski area boundary. Found the early January rain crust about 50 cm down in a 2 m deep snowpack, with the entire snowpack above the crust faceted to some degree. The weakest facets were right on the surface, with a strong midpack above the crust. We targeted the crust with a PST, and got a result of 90/100 END. There was significant greenhousing starting to occur while we were out there, and all elevations and aspects were wetted several centimeters deep by the end of the afternoon.
