Quick report
Conditions were enjoyable with gradual surface melt throughout the day. Southeast and east aspects softened progressively, providing fun turns with no roller balls. Surface melt increased from about 3 cm in the morning to roughly 10 cm by 1:30 p.m. High thin clouds moved in during the afternoon, helping keep the snow surface slightly cooler.
North aspects were more variable. Steep north facing slopes remained firm throughout the day. Our exit at 2:30 p.m. on a lower angle northeast aspect held fast, edgeable snow with 2–4 cm of surface melt. Flatter terrain features such as shelves and roads became sticky by the end of the day.
There was evidence of the ongoing warming trend, including cornice shedding visible across Meiss Meadow and a crack forming along the ridge above an existing glide crack.
The inversion was barely noticeable. Surface melt sat on a firm, supportable crust, measuring knife hard below 8500 ft and pencil hard above 9000 ft.

The weather was pleasant today. Winds were calm and the sky had a few high thin clouds in the morning. In the afternoon light SW winds with a couple of moderate gusts picked up. It was still very comfortable and once we ducked back into the bowl we couldn't feel it at all.
