We observed widespread shooting cracks and whumphing on all aspects.
Avalanche
Triggered a large D2 avalanche on NW aspect, 4750ft. The slide was around 200 feet wide and traveled approximately 300 vertical feet. Our group was scoping out some terrain skinning along the top of a convex slope when suddenly I took a step and shooting cracks traveled in both directions releasing the avalanche which flowed down towards Bagley creek. This was more than enough to convince us to stick to very mellow terrain for the rest of the day.
