Quick report

Saw one natural avalanche, in addition to two reactive hand pit results. Witnessed a large skier-triggered avalanche East of Mazama Ridge, detailed in a partner's observation. Dug two hand pits (5600 ft, W aspect). The first one failed easily 1.5-2 ft down, with a nearly planar break. So a dug second, the second pit, which failed similarly but definitely planar.

Natural avalanche, D0.5, 5200 E aspect, 1+ ft deep. Terrain was definitely wind loaded and appeared to have failed late in the day yesterday. There were a couple inches of fresh snow on top of debris.
