Quick report
Variable weak and decomposing surface crust on solar aspects, cold and dry snow on shaded/ less direct solar slopes. Highly variable across terrain and difference between crust and dry snow only requires a subtle shift in aspect & angle. HS ~140cm 4,500’ -5,000’. 12/7 interface down 20-25cm. On a protected, SE aspect, 4,500 recent HST was F hard and no notable results in small and large column tests. Non-standard CT40 (very hard) PC on older & thicker MFcr down 65cm. At 5,000 on a wind affected NE aspect, the surface snow above 12/7 was more cohesive (F+ to 4F-) and sheared moderately in a shovel shear test. Small column tests showed either RP or no results here at the 12/7 interface.
