Quick report
Day started at 9:30 am with a fairly stout crust on north facing slope, south aspect in the trees we skied down to Tatoosh creek had mashed potatoes consistency at 10-10:30 am but only about 5-10 cm ski pen. Observed surface hoar and noticed a colder airflow skinning on the creek. North aspect headed up to the Fly showed some signs of older wind effect, but hand pits were unremarkable, with some quite old avy debris at the bottom of the fan. The snow in the couloir was a bit variable with a very thin crust, but skied very well at 12:30 pm on the way down with a nice chalky consistency. Hoar was still hanging on in the shade on the creek at 1 pm, sunny slopes had turned to hot pow by then. Some rollerballs spotted in the distance, but no other signs of instability.
