Cracking
specific

Wet and heavy up to around 4500’. Blowing snow with ridges thin of new snow. Dug a pit at 6095’. 205cm overall with 75cm of fresh powder. Not sugary powder though. Cloud cover was thick and snowing hard around 11:15am with a E wind blowing 10-15mph. CT #11 showed resistive planar layer at 75cm with a sudden collapse. We stayed in the lower angle terrain and enjoyed hood deep powder all day!

Avalanche

We saw some wet loose in the lower elevations next to the road on the way in. As we climbed to around 5500’, saw a few small storm slabs on W aspects and wind slabs on E aspects. Visibility was too low to check ridge tops from below.
