Quick report

Stability on the day was very good. Snow level was consistent around 4000ft. 4000-5000ft the snow was very firm and refrozen. 5000ft+ the snow was light and powdery with up to 1ft sitting above an unbreakable crust. Light wind textured surfaces were found above 5500ft but nothing cohesive enough to constitute a wind slabs

Avalanche

At 4300ft on the approach to Ruby along Happy Creek we observed an older D3.5 wet slab avalanche that we hypothesize released naturally sometime during the rain this past week. The start zone for this avalanche was around 6000ft and caught and carried several smaller trees.
