Great skiing alert! We ascended the typical Bouillon Basin route to Bluebell Pass and dropped into Pickhandle Basin via Guns and Roses (as labeled on onX). There were pockets of wind-drifted snow along the ridge but nothing particularly reactive. The ski descent was phenomenal. We then ascended pickhandle gap and made our way back up to crown point. Southern aspects definitely have a solar crust under new snow. Snow depth above the crust is quite variable. Not much new snow accumulation throughout the day, and things got a bit sticky down low when the sun peeked through the clouds.
