Made the unfortunate decision to ski the pass today instead of driving to Crystal due to proximity. Rain at the trailhead, turned to rain/ice mix once we got to Pineapple Pass basin. Snow was heavy and wet in the trees. In Pineapple Pass basin the rain/ice mix and wind was creating a crust in areas exposed to the wind (most of the basin). A few fun surfy turns were had in the trees skiing back toward Source Lake. On the bright side, everything is quite filled in now and the skiing should be good when we get some dry snow. Only signs of instability were some small wet loose debris and roller balls below the cliffs on the exit from Source Lake.
