Avalanche
Human triggered cornice collapse. SE aspect, 6700’. A snowboarder was on a large, slightly overhanging cornice when it collapsed. The snowboarder rode away and seemed unhurt. The large chunks of broken cornice entrained more snow and ran down the slope below, but did not initiate a slab avalanche. Debris pile was nearly large enough to bury a person. D 1.5 in size.
