Quick report
Triangle ridge west of the Bench Hut. Overcast skies, light wind and moderate gusts from the NW and scattered snow flurries. No recent signs of avalanches, cracking or collapsing. Low tide snowpack made for interesting skiing. Dug a pit on a 35 degree NNW slope at approximately 8,280 ft. Height of snow was 75 cm. 0 to 8 cm was sugary facet grains (F), 8-10 cm was crust (P-K), 10-25 cm was sugary facet grains (F), 25-75 cm was soft (F-4F). See photo. Results were CT13 BRK and ECTN16.
