Quick report
Observed small avalanche on little AK yesterday and lots of sluff. Overall impression was snow was more stable today. We were surprised by the Diamond Trees avalanche propagating so widely and deep. Reminder to be cautious of runouts into treed terrain traps!
Avalanche
Partner triggered D2 avalanche on middle panel of Diamond Trees. Hard to tell if it was wind slab. Snow seemed a bit stiffer with temp increase today. Bed surface was firm. Avalanche ran fast and fierce through the trees! No one was caught.
