Quick report
Skied around Portley Bowl on Wednesday November 26th, 2025. The snow coverage was good, we were able to skin directly from the car and ski all the way back, although we did have some creek crossings and some rocks peeking through. The snow was great on the E and W faces of the ridge, the snow stayed light and dry until the end of the day. On the SW/SE aspects the snow was a bit wet then later got crusty as the temperature dropped. There were around 5-10 inches of fresh snow on top of a hard crust above 6500’. Didn’t see much in terms of signs of instability other than some small roller balls on the SSW face of Peak 7160, around 6800ft and 35 degrees.
