Quick report
It was raining hard all morning, clearing up around noon. The snow was saturated. Tracked vehicles were creating deep ruts in the recently groomed trail bc of how saturated and sloppy the snow was. Rollerballs, tree shedding. We also observed multiple recent avalanches that ran over the groomed trail, east of the sno park.
Avalanche
A group of snowmobilers triggered an avalanche and at least 1 was caught in the slide, injuring their knee. The injured rider was not able to ride out. The uninjured rider was able to ride back to the Crystal Springs Sno Park, where Kittitas County SAR was already on scene on an active mission. KCSR was able to assist and transport the injured rider out.
