Quick report

The day was very rainy and I looked at this steep but small avalanche path on our way up Salmon La Sac to the zone we wanted to ride and noted it had not slid but there was what appeared to be old debris. On our way down about 4 hours later the hill side had slid, a very wet avalanche had occurred. I was wary of this since we had recent new snow that was going to get loaded with tons of moisture. It was small, but even untouched snow was very dense. I made my buddy aware of my concerns with the moisture loading the snowpack, we kept to mild low angle tree riding terrain.
