Quick report
Weather forecast was spot on. Morning started brisk with temps at 26F on skyline ridge at 1000 with light to moderate east wind on ridgeline. Day warmed up and we recorded 44F back at the pass by 1400. Snow stayed cold in the shade and warmed up fast on solar aspects. Yesterday’s melt freeze crust was present on SE to W slopes and broke down fast with the strong sun. We did not see any signs of instability in the terrain we traveled through other than roller balls. However, we saw a few wet loose avalanches from a distance.
