North winds kicked up in White Pass this afternoon blowing moderate to strong and impacting quite a bit of terrain. Wind slabs were growing and we observed one small avalanche on a north facing, loaded alpine feature that was small but big enough to potentially wreck your day (photo). Power was being pressed and moved to lee aspects. Sheltered aspects on the south and west still held really good riding (see photo). Big blue glacier was getting hammered by the wind and we saw exposed blue ice near its toe.
