Wild storms but still want to get outside safely? Not a problem here!
This logging road starts at around 1000m currently with a raincrust that fades away between 1200m and 1300m and will break all your records for ascends. Didn't think you could be slower than 150m per hour elevation gain? Think again. This road takes you up slow and at a low inclination for about 5k (good on a sled till there if you have one) and turns into a wild fight with the shubs after. Once you decide to abandon the "road" and bushes you'll be thankful for all the steeps and tight trees that made you understand what bad decision making is.
When you decide that 3pm is a good time to start going downhill again leads you to a mellow gully that needs 2 more meters of snow you'll finally see that there won't be any avalanches here today. You might even forget that skiing is not going to be a real thing either. At least you will have 10 minutes skiing back in the skintrack that are not too much work till you hit the flats again.
This was a safe day in mellow terrain with no signs of instabilities but also no reward for all the work put in to get up there. Maybe Laura's roommate can get a giggle out of this at work though.
