Aemmer Conditions

Skied Aemmer couloir on Temple; was quite nice in areas without wind effect. Was pretty tough from the apron to about 100 meters in. Mixed sastrugi and windboard. Above that it slowly transistioned to powder on a solid surface before turning to facets to the ground near the top. Skied well for this time of year, but too unpredictable to open up.

Snowfall picked up in the second half of the day. About 2cm of precip at the bottom of the couloir that all fell since we started booting.

Soft unconsolidated snow below and near treeline, minor wind effect picks up near treeline. Strong wind effect above treeline, gets better in super wind protected areas
