Vermillion Crossing

Skied mellow trees in the Vermillion Burn. Coverage started marginal and steadily improved with elevation. Basal facets were readily apparent and failed easily in hand shears. We therefore avoided slopes over 30 degrees and overhead hazard. The day was mainly cloudy and warm, with the sun occasionally showing.
