Quick Observation

We saw avalanches go up to size 1 and a half in the alpine on steep, sunny slopes. This activity started around 11 o clock when the sun warmed the sun up.

Weather

The wind was blowing light snow from peaks but not mixing anything up in the treeline/ above treeline. We felt sudden critical warming from -20 temps around 830 to +2 degrees at noon.

Snowpack

Saw a sudden failure 120 cm down from surface after 10 taps from the hand doing a 30 cm compression test.
