Bell N couloir

Great conditions on Bell N couloir. No significant obs during the day aside from a minor 0.5 pocket that popped near the col on our way down. Stuff management was required but the entrainment was manageable. Skinned from the parking lot - thin in spots but no base damage on the way down. Headwall at the back of the lake was a bit sporty and required a few veg belays. The bench below Bell had at least 60cm of un consolidated powder on top. Great coverage in the couloir - no wind effect observed in the alpine. Some wind skin and minor wind effect as we got within 100m of the col. Needless to say, the ski down was absolutely amazing - had to exercise a bit of caution on the bench as there are boulders with facetted snow around but overall good support - great first day of the season !
