Test profile; Asp. ENE; 28 deg; Sky BRK; Precip nil; wind calm; Blow snow nil; Air temp -4.9 deg; well supported slope just below ridgeline sparsely treed. Upper snowpack feels right side up with F-1F snow above the Dec. 22 MFcr dn 35. Mid pack is well consolidated 1F snow. Dec. 13 SHxr dn 60 is rounding but still evident and reactive in snowpack tests and sits about 12cm above Dec. 8 IFrc/MFcr. CTM 14, 14 (SP) dn 35 below Dec. 22 MFcr CTM 18 (SP) dn 60 on Dec. 13 SHxr sz 3 (not repeated). Despite SP results and evidence of Dec. 22 Na cycle we did not observe any signs of instability today. We did observe on our second lap (14:30) 2-3cm of moist snow on solar aspects with minor snowballing.
