Surprise Pass

30mm surface hoar in the Saddleback pass. Smaller surface hoar elsewhere <5mm. Perhaps the trees were sheltering the pass. Surprise pass is well skied out. Snow where it wasn’t tracked felt faceted. Sharky still.
