Toured up past Rohr Lake on Saturday. Was overcast all day with light precip. FL on Saturday was 1650. Plenty of creek crossings but travel wasn’t too complicated.
Camped just above 1900m. Quite stormy all night but woke up to clear skies around 8:00. Cold and crisp new snow. Most places were wind affected.
The mellow EF slopes below Rohr skied well. Supportive crust with 6-7 inches of wind affected pow on top. The SW slopes above Rohr Lake were awesome in the sun at noon — less wind affected. Pinwheels were starting to form on our way up.
Ski out was better than expected with enough of the fresh snow to make the tight turns not as horrendous as the day before.
