Quick Observation
Snowpack
Surface hoar is developing quickly with warm days and cool clear windless nights. The rain crust is breaking down ( 1 to 5 cm) A fist resistance facet layer is developing under the crust. We are settling up (potentially) for a tricky persistent weak layer once buried ( forecast by the last week of the month). This layer combo may create a double SC SP shear failure. Double collapse suddenly planer. It’s not all ice out there. Niko
