Quick report
went back out to Castle Pass today in much more pleasant weather than the last time TNSAR was out training with the CHP helicopter, so the trail to Castle Pass was groomed by their two small snocats making for easy traveling skied the NW trees on Castle Peak down into Round Valley - then back out Castle Pass to Andesite Peak and back to the car lots of rime in the trees - surface and near surface recrystallization created some great snow conditions on north facing shady slopes - I was pleased to find no scary crusts or manky snow - the skiing and trail breaking were great I didn’t observe or experience any signs of instability
