Quick report
Observed a thin breakable rain crust at lower elevations. This crust became thicker as we approached 8,000’, with 1cm thick ice on the Castle Pass ridgeline. Weaker snow was observed below the surface ice on N aspects. We could see many signs of wind transport from yesterday, but wind features were unreactive and coated in thick ice. S and SW aspects softened enough by noon for enjoyable spring-like skiing. No signs of instability observed
