The cat area received 8-12 inches of new snow in the past 24 hours. from 1400 to 1600 it snowed between S2-S3 with strong ridgeline winds with moderate winds elsewhere. We observed sub-ridgeline wind slabs build to more than a meter deep in under three hours. The wind slab storm slab remained touchy throughout the day, but no new natural avalanches were seen in the cat or surrounding areas. Test slope ski cuts showed slabs varying in depth from 15 cm to 50 cm. Most of our reactivity occurred on southern aspects on old melt freeze with NSF below at 50cm to 15cm below surface. Some isolated collapsing and cracking at just below ridgelines.
