Quick report
Toured in and out of the Frog Lake hut today. The day started with very low visibility and proceeded to clear in the afternoon. Warming throughout the tour was evident as trees started to shed snow and drip on the snowpack. Moderate SW winds tapered off to light winds in the afternoon. We didn't observe any active snow transport but there was plenty of evidence of it previously. We noted settlement cones and an overall shallower ski penetration (5-15 cm) than anticipated through our tour. We observed two avalanches that appeared to have failed during the latest storm. One D2 and a notable D3 on the north east aspect of Castle Peak. We dug a snow pit to take a look at the Jan 2 PWL. We dug a pit on a NW aspect at 8000' In treeline. CT 12 SC down 115/ ECTP Down 115 on Jan 2 Facets. Slab ranged from F- P above Jan 2 PWL.

Very wide propagation- Deposit filled large terrain trap at the bottom of path. Appeared to step down to deeper layer lower down on slope.
