Still a lot of variety in snow depths in this area., despite a overall good snow year. In shallow areas the snow profile is a scary sandwich of three crusts and faceted snow layers in between. When skinning I would break through the first two sandwich layers in shallow spots. The snowpack seems to be just strong enough to support the new 8" of snow. If the terrain wasn't below 30 degrees it might not be a good place to ski especially with a new storm approaching.
