Quick report
Rain and then snow and cold temps on Saturday had quite an impact. Early on Sunday morning there was hard clear ice above 4800' and above 6,000' wind transported snow was patchy but sometimes 2-8" deep. By midday the ice had softened and by afternoon there was 2-6" of wet slush sitting on a hard icy layer. There were several cornice failures at 4000-7000', but none large enough to be dangerous.
Avalanche
One loose wet on a south aspect at 5000' ran all the way to the treeline at 4500' and entrained enough of snow to be dangerous if anybody had been in its path. It was not human triggered and well off the climbing route but in a spot visited by skiers. See picture.
