Snowpack
Upper meter of snowpack is largely composed of melt forms, crusts, and some rounded grains. There were faceted crystals 2cm down below a thin crust. There was widespread surface hoar at this location. As the day progressed, the sun destroyed a lot of it, but it remained intact in shaded areas.
