Quick report
In Silver Basin the overall stability seemed very good with a generally firm surface snowpack and I did not feel a need to look below. By midday we had nice spring skiing on south facing slope to Crystal Lakes and on lower angle north facing slopes in Silver Basin and ski area. The surface snow on the steep north facing slope of Silver Basin could still use some thawing/freezing and some consolidation and was basically remaining frozen yesterday.
Avalanche
A couple shallow surface size 1 or less loose wet due to shallow new snow on 21 April on the steep ESE facing slopes of Silver Basin. Not sure if natural or triggered as ski area was open on 21 April and there were ski tracks on the slope.
