Storm skiing in Western aspects of MRNP in low angle treed terrain. Heavy snowfall throughout afternoon. 12" HST that skied well. As snow depth increased during the day ,I observed significant cracking ( 4to 6 ft) across slope during uphill kick turns indicating storm slabs developing. Impressive amount of wind loading occurring at ridge line.
