Quick report
Two skiers traveled on 2/15/26 from the Narada Falls parking lot up the snowshoe route and then along stevens canyon road to reflection lakes. We didnt see or trigger any avalanches but we were traveling through slopes <25 degrees for the most part. Steeper slopes above the road didn’t seem to have enough snow to be a big problem. It started out just above freezing with the occasional tree bomb landing on us with the warmish temps. Coverage at Narada Falls (4500 ft) was okay and didn’t improve much at reflection lakes. Lots of open creeks and branches and exposed rocks that are likely typically buried by now. Looked to be about 4inches of wet and heavy recent snow on top of bare rocks or dirt, in some spots on top of a crust. We didn’t dig any pits. It got a bit colder and then started snowing heavily around 1:15pm and continued until we left and as we were driving it quickly turned to rain just below the parking lot. Low visibility and the wet and heavy snow in tree skiing conditions kept us from our initial plan of skiing the north facing slope below castle but it was a beautiful day out! Loved seeing the snowflakes falling finally.
