Quick report

Generally stable conditions. Felt comfortable being in large, complex, alpine features.

Snowpack

Solar: climbed up the south side of Parks. Solar surfaces were very roughened by the sun and wind. Shady: Upper elevations were compressed facets/DFs/ windboard. Lower elevations(8k and below) had temp crusts with facets above and below, even on due north in the Toxaway drainage. Observed some thin sluff slabs forming near the walls of the couliors. None were deeper than 6", and most only spanned 10' wide or so. Very small, isolated cracks occurred when the slabs were undercut by ski tracks.
