Traveled out to Eightmile lake to check conditions. Experienced thin coverage that exposed a lot of creeks, rocks, stumps, and logs in the burn areas that made travel difficult. There was a variable 2”-4” inches of snow from the last storm that covered a hard crust. We did not observe any slides but did experience a lot of loud whumphing with many shooting cracks, some extending out 10 to 12 feet away. Many of the runs out here are thin and rocky and will require a few more feet of snow.
