Quick report

Collapsing
isolated

As we skinned north looking up at the east facing bowl of Little St. Joe: we noticed collapsing on the flat terrain. Looking up at the bowl, we noticed the avalanche crown in the images. Our pit results showed instability. ECT failed at 13. We traveled cautiously and stayed off any slop above 30 degrees.

Traversing the flats below the east facing bowl of Little St. Joe peak. Felt collapsing as we skinned toward the north ridge. Looking up, we observed an avalanche crown. Through our camera lens, we could not see any tracks heading into the avalanche area so appeared to be natural.
